WHEN: Tuesday evenings 6:00 - 9:00, April 19 through May 21, 2019 (sometimes boats will add alternate days due to schedule conflicts or weather which may extend the season).
WHO: Individuals who are 18 or older may take our class. Couples must register as individuals as each one is a "spot" on a boat. We tend to split couples onto two different boats out of the same marina.
WHERE: TWSA members volunteer their boats that are moored at marinas throughout Commencement Bay or Gig Harbor. Students will be assigned to a boat based on their experience, and the best location for them (Tacoma ,Gig Harbor or Vashon). Boat assignment is announced the first night of class.
WHAT: students are placed on boats with other women of similar experience. A curriculum of skills and experiences is implemented over the six weeks of class based on USSailing and ASA standards. Each boat is led by a knowledgeable instructor- most of whom are women.
COST: The fee is $195 which includes a $35 TWSA membership (required by our insurance company).
DEADLINE: a late fee of $15 will be added to your registration after March 21st.
OPTIONS:
Beginner - For the inexperienced sailor, never pulled on lines or manned the tiller.
Intermediate - some sailing experience, but needs to improve skills and practice more.

Within your Confirmation Email is important information on our First Night Orientation. Please read carefully for details on our first class on April 9th. Registrants may receive email updates and further information.
REQUIREMENTS: participants must provide their own personal floatation device (PFD), appropriate clothes/shoes, and be able to move around on a boat under sail. A more complete list of optional items will be provided on the first night of class.
Participants must be over 18 yrs.
