TWSA Book Club | July:
Due to limited attendance in June, we're giving Sailing Kind an encore! This engaging, easy summer read gets another opportunity, while our September selection, The Ghost Ship, gives everyone a little extra reading time during the busy summer months.
We're also adding something new to Book Club beginning this July—educational and fun sailing playing cards! Even if you haven't read this month's book, come join us to learn boat lingo, racing terms, and enjoy some laughs with fellow TWSA members.
About the Book:
Sailing Kind is a raw, insightful, and often humorous memoir about a novice, seasick sailor navigating life, relationships, and adventure aboard a small wooden yacht.
Following a near-drowning experience in Greece, Christine Stovell recounts her journey sailing around Britain with her husband, exploring fear, joy, resilience, and the beautiful coastal landscapes of Wales.
Praised as an intimate and refreshing sailing memoir, Sailing Kind appeals to both sailing enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys stories connected to the sea.
Audiobook version available.
Whether you've finished the book, just started, or simply want to enjoy good conversation and learn something new, we'd love to have you join us. Come connect, share perspectives, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon with your fellow TWSA members.
